ok, you're all set up. first thing you should do is get familiar with blogger's layout. when you sign in, there's several things you can do. normally, right after sign-in, you'll be shown a page with several tabs in the upper-left right under "squirrel snacks." this is where you can change settings, etc. the first tab should be highlighted and should show a posting field where you'll type out each post. it's your standard text editor, much like most email applications. you can change font size and color, though your template layout has adequate font choices made for you already. i'd would only use these functions if you wanted to emphasize a word or phrase and make it stand out from the rest of the text.
you should stay in the "compose" mode and not mess with the "edit html" tab, which both show up on the uppder-right of the text editor box. i have a test blog set up for me, so i can walk you through steps needed for posting, or making links, etc and that way we don't have to be logged into the same blog at the same time. i've already added myself as an admin, so i won't have to use your log-in to access the site to make changes to your template, etc. if you give me some ideas on what you'd like your title image to look like, and what kind of colors you'd like for your blog's layout, i can start working some stuff up in my free time. for now, you can click the "layout" tab in the upper left and pick any template you'd like. don't worry, changing the template won't erase any entries you've put in.
you'll probably want to print this text out, and then when you're ready to make your own first post, go into "edit posts" right under the settings tab in the upper left and delete this post i made. when you start typing, your post will automatically save after so many minutes have passed, or so many words have been typed. saving does not mean publishing. a saved post can only be viewed by you. a published post is open to the world. if you type some stuff out but aren't ready for everyone to see, click the "save now" button beneath the text editor. when you are ready for people to see it, hit "publish."
